CrudeLogic LLC ("CrudeLogic," "we," "us," or "our") operates the CrudeLogic platform — a professional network and procurement marketplace for the oil and gas industry — accessible at crudelogic.app and via our mobile applications.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

2. Information We Collect

Account and profile information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, password, and optionally your job title, company, location, region, work history, specializations, certifications, profile photo, and resume.

Content you post: Posts, comments, messages, job listings, RFQs, bids, marketplace listings, and other content you create on the platform.

Usage data: Pages you visit, features you use, search queries, time spent, device type, browser, IP address, and referrer URLs, collected via server logs and analytics.

Communications: Messages sent to other users through the platform's messaging system.

Payment data: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe Customer ID and subscription status but never your raw card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and improve the CrudeLogic platform
• To display your professional profile to other users in your network and in public directories (subject to your privacy settings)
• To facilitate job applications, RFQ bidding, marketplace transactions, and professional connections
• To send you notifications about activity related to your account
• To process subscription payments via Stripe
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations

4. How We Share Your Information

Other users: Profile information you make public (name, headline, location, specializations, work history) is visible to other CrudeLogic users. You can control directory visibility in Settings → Privacy.

Service providers: We use third-party vendors to operate the platform, including Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), and analytics services. These vendors process data only on our behalf under data processing agreements.

Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CrudeLogic, our users, or the public.

Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., records of completed transactions).

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and correction: You can view and update your profile information at any time via Settings → Edit Profile.
• Directory opt-out: You can remove yourself from public directories via Settings → Privacy → Listed in directories.
• Account deletion: You can permanently delete your account via Settings → Danger Zone. This removes all your personal data from the platform.
• Email communications: You can manage notification preferences in Settings → Notifications.
• California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, row-level security on our database, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

8. Children

CrudeLogic is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the platform or sending an email to your registered address. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
